Neely Update
Neely seems to be adjusting to her new lifestyle. She does not run from me when she sees me get the insulin out of the frig and the syringe from the box on the counter. She sits in my lap and is still for the injection. She does not even flinch.
I think the hardest adjustment is with meal times. Meals are 30 minutes after the shot so: shot at 7 a.m., breakfast at 7:30; likewise 12 hours later in the evening. She is used to a breakfast at 7, supper at 5:00 schedule.
She goes to the vet on Friday to stay all day for testing for her glucose curve.
