Neely has Diabetes

After a weekend (why is it kids & dogs always get sick on long holiday weekends?) of excessive thirst (draining her water bowl dry) and frequent urination with a couple of accidents inside, I took Neely to the vet this morning, hoping it was just a urinary tract infection, but knowing it could be diabetes. The vet called me at work about an hour after I took her in and said they got a urine sample that showed glucose in her urine that likely meant she is diabetic. They did some blood work that will be back tomorrow.
