A couple of scrapbook layouts

I did these 2 at the Scrap Pink crop in Apex the end of September and just had not had time to scan & post them. There are a few more that I will get to later.

Blood Glucose V

Maybe 5 is our lucky number. Week Five, 5 units of insulin and the vet says we are getting there. We are to stay at 5 units and wait for the results of the fructosamine test (tomorrow morning she will call). As of now we do not have to go back next Friday.

The vet said we may need to increase just a little or switch types of insulin. Her blood sugar goes up considerably in the morning, but does come down about 4 hours after the dose.

Neely has lost 4 more ounces--down to 11 pounds 9 ounces.

Blessing

This morning Neely and I went to St. Francis Episcopal Church for the Blessing of the Animals.

Blood Glucose IV

Still no change. We got a new vial of insulin (have to get a new one each month). The vet wants me to increase to 5 units twice a day, but since it is a new vial, to stay at 4 units until Monday, in case the other vial was bad in some way.

If this does not work they are going to call the vets at NC State Vet School for suggestions.

Neely lost 2 more ounces this week; she is down to 11 pounds 13 ounces.
